The Dambuilders were an American indie rock band notable for their unique blend of punk and pop elements, active from 1990 to 1998. The band was comprised of notable members such as guitarist and vocalist Eric Masunaga, violinist Joan Wasser, who later embarked on a solo career as Joan As Police Woman, and drummer Kevin March. Their music is best characterized by its juxtaposition of aggressive punk energy and catchy pop melodies, with the distinctive element of a violin. While never achieving mainstream success, they were influential in the indie rock scene, particularly celebrated for their 1994 album "Ruby Red".
