There Goes My Baby/ Oh My Love

This is a beautiful copy of the "new" Drifters' first hit, which Dave Marsh places at the top of his list of the greatest Drifters 45s, at #30 out of his top 1,001 singles. What makes this record so important is its use of strings, the arrangement itself, and the high key in which Ben E. King sings. As Marsh says in describing the song, \r\n
"There Goes My Baby" deserves to be enshrined, for the moment when those strings entered, rhythm and blues took an irrevocable step toward soul music.
