The Four Preps

The Four Preps were an American popular music quartet, most noted for their light vocal harmonies and pop hits in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Founded by lead singer Bruce Belland, Ed Cobb, Marv Ingram, and Glen Larson, the group had a signature style that combined close harmony with a clean-cut appeal. They are best known for their hits "26 Miles (Santa Catalina)" and "Big Man", which were pivotal in shaping the doo-wop era. The Four Preps' influence extended into the folk-pop and surf music scenes, demonstrating their versatility and broad impact on mid-century American music.
