The Frogmen were an American surf rock band active in the early 1960s. Comprised of musicians Doug Brown and Jim Pash, the band stood out for its instrumental style that incorporated elements of rock and roll and surf music. The Frogmen are best known for their 1961 hit "Underwater", which peaked at number 44 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their music, characterized by driving guitar riffs and energetic drumming, played a role in the development of the surf rock genre.
