The Hilltoppers were a popular American vocal group formed in the early 1950s at Western Kentucky University. The group, notably including members Jimmy Sacca, Donald McGuire, and Seymour Spiegelman, was known for their engaging vocal harmonies and sentimental ballads, which often incorporated elements of doo-wop and early rock and roll. Their signature sound is best exemplified by their hit singles like "P.S. I Love You" and "Only You (And You Alone)", the latter of which reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. Their influence helped bridge the gap between traditional pop and the emerging rock and roll sound of the 1950s.
