The Jarmels

The Jarmels were an American doo-wop/R&B group, formed in the late 1950s in Richmond, Virginia. They are most famous for their hit single, "A Little Bit of Soap," which showcases their signature blend of smooth harmonies and rhythmic beats, characteristic of the doo-wop style. Despite their brief existence, the group left a significant imprint on the R&B landscape. The Jarmels were one of the few acts from the Southeast to achieve national success during the doo-wop era, marking them as key figures in the regional diversification of American R&B music.
