Life's Too Short/ Nobody But You

This is one of the very rare groups with a sound that foreshadowed the arrival of the Beatles and other British power pop acts a couple of years later. The sound was already happening in 1962 in the U.K., but here in the States rock'n'roll radio was dominated by surf rock, doo-wop, girl group rock, Elvis-style rock'n'roll, and early soul. The Bethesda, MD, based Lafayettes were doing something quite different, though it wouldn't sound at all odd by the time 1964 rolled around! Note: This beautiful copy has Near Mint labels with a faint "25" penciled on the B side. The vinyl looks almost untouched, and the audio is close to Mint.
