The Love Unlimited Orchestra

The Love Unlimited Orchestra was a 40-piece string-laden orchestra, formed in the early 70s by American soul artist Barry White. Known for their fusion of classical, funk, and disco, their style was instrumental in shaping the sound of early disco music. Their most successful and well-known piece is "Love's Theme", which topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1974. The Orchestra's lush, romantic arrangements were a distinctive element of White's signature sound, and they played a significant role in his career, backing him on most of his hit records.
