The Lover Speaks was a British new wave duo active in the mid-1980s, comprised of singer David Freeman and keyboardist Joseph Hughes. Known for their emotive, synth-driven pop, the band's most notable achievement was their 1986 single "No More 'I Love You's'", which gained further recognition when it was covered by Annie Lennox in 1995.
