The Miss Alans were an American indie rock band active from 1983 to 1995, primarily known for their melodic, guitar-heavy sound. Based in Fresno, California, the band consisted of members Scott Oliver, Ron Woods, Jay Oliver, and Manny Diez. Their album "Blusher" (1993), garnered critical acclaim for its innovative blend of alternative rock and post-punk influences. Despite their regional popularity and the respect of critics, The Miss Alans remained largely underground throughout their career, yet their influence can be seen in a number of West Coast indie rock bands.
