The Music Machine was an American garage rock and psychedelic band, active from 1966 to 1969. The band was led by Sean Bonniwell, who was known for his distinctive, snarling vocal style and the band's aggressive, proto-punk sound. They are best remembered for their hit single "Talk Talk", which reached No. 15 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The Music Machine's use of distorted guitar sounds and dark, brooding lyrics were innovative for their time and helped lay the groundwork for future punk and alternative rock bands.
