The Nashville Teens are a British rock band, formed in Surrey, England in 1962. Known primarily for their hit single, "Tobacco Road," the band's musical style is grounded in the British invasion and beat music, characterized by driving rhythms and bluesy undertones. Members Ray Phillips and John Hawken are particularly notable, with Hawken later becoming a significant member of progressive rock bands like Renaissance and The Strawbs. Despite being less prominent than some contemporaries, The Nashville Teens hold an important place in music history for their contribution to the 1960s rock and roll scene.
