The Paradons

The Paradons were an American doo-wop group from the late 1950s to early 1960s, known for their distinctive harmonies and soulful ballads. Originating from Bakersfield, California, the group consisted of four members: William Powers, William Meyers, Charles Weldon, and West Tyler. They gained their highest acclaim with the hit single "Diamonds and Pearls," which reached number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1960. The Paradons significantly contributed to the popularization of doo-wop music, leaving an indelible mark on the genre's history.
