The Reddings was an American funk, soul, and R&B band active from 1979 to 1988. Known for their distinctive blend of genres, the group was composed of Dexter Redding and Otis Redding III, sons of soul legend Otis Redding, and their cousin Mark Locket. Their signature sound incorporated elements of their father's soulful style with modern funk and R&B influences.
