The Scaffold

The Scaffold was a British comedy, poetry, and music trio, active from 1964 to 1973. The group consisted of Mike McGear, John Gorman, and Roger McGough, with McGear being the brother of Paul McCartney from The Beatles. The Scaffold was known for their comedic performances, often integrated with music and poetry, and their most famous song, "Lily the Pink," topped the UK Singles Chart in 1968. Their unique blend of comedy and music made them a distinctive presence in the 1960s British music scene.
