The Style Council

The Style Council was an influential English band formed in 1983 by Paul Weller, the former lead singer and guitarist of The Jam, and keyboardist Mick Talbot, previously of Dexys Midnight Runners. Known for their blend of soul, R&B, jazz, and pop, their music significantly deviated from the punk and new wave sound of Weller's previous band. The Style Council's most notable works include the albums "Café Bleu" and "Our Favourite Shop." Their musical experimentation and social commentary made them a significant figure in the 1980s British music scene.
