The Temprees

The Temprees are an American soul vocal trio from Memphis, Tennessee, notable for their smooth harmonies and romantic ballads. Formed in the late 1960s, the group consisted of lead singer Jasper "Jabbo" Phillips, Harold "Scotty" Scott, and Deljuan "Del" Calvin. Their musical style, heavily influenced by the Memphis soul sound, resulted in a number of popular hits in the 1970s, including their most recognized single, "Love Can Be So Wonderful". The Temprees' contributions to the soul genre and their distinct, emotive sound solidified their place in music history.
