The Toys

The Toys were an American pop girl group from the mid-1960s, composed of Barbara Harris, June Montiero, and Barbara Parritt. They are best known for their distinctive, harmonious sound and soulful rhythm-and-blues style, reflecting the influences of the Motown era. Their signature hit, "A Lover's Concerto," skillfully adapted the melody of Bach's "Minuet in G," to a pop rhythm, demonstrating their innovative approach to music. Despite their brief period of activity, The Toys' unique blend of pop and classical elements made a significant impact on the music of the 1960s.
