The Youngbloods were an American rock band active from1965 to 1972. The band, composed of Jesse Colin Young (lead vocals, bass), Jerry Corbitt (guitar), Lowell Levinger, nicknamed "Banana," (guitar, keyboards), and Joe Bauer (drums), is known for their fusion of folk, blues, and jazz elements. Their most significant work, "Get Together," became a peace anthem of the late 1960s counterculture movement. Despite their brief tenure, The Youngbloods left a lasting mark on rock music with their distinctive, genre-blending style.
