From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original factory sleeve. Here's an example of truly great funk, expressed in the weirdly joyous mood that characterizes the genre. Led by Julliard graduate Larry Blackmon, Cameo had enjoyed a few top 40 hits in the black market for several years before this single came along, and this is the one that really established them. Pop radio never really caught on to the band's creative sound, at least, not until near the end of the band's run, when the great "Word Up" proved irresistable to everybody. Note: This beautiful copy has pristine Mint labels and audio, and the wax is nearly so.
