Long Haired Country Boy

Originally released on Kama Sutra 601, the country music market missed out on this classic back in 1974, since Daniels was coming in from way over in left field (literally) and wasn't embraced by Nashville as the good ol' boy that he actually was. So his new label Epic revived this nugget in 1980 and pitched it at country radio, where it finally got some airplay. The track features Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers on dobro, and though it's the same 1974 recording, it's credited to The Charlie Daniels Band. This promo copy has the same song on both sides.
