The Wild Places

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed Stereo/Mono promo copy. I hadn't heard this guy before... on first listen, I thought the singer might be Lou Reed in disguise. Instead, after doing a little googling I found he was a talented British singer/songwriter who put out a handful of LP's between 1968 and his death from cancer in 1993. He also left behind an admiring fan base that probably includes David Bowie, who covered Browne's "Criminal World" on his 1983 Let's Dance album. Note: This 3:44 recording is an edited version of the LP cut.
