500 Percent More Man/ Let The Kids Dance

This is an original promo copy from the Louise Neal 45 Collection. Yes, as Chess ads from 1965 make clear, the rough-and-ready, guitar heavy "500 Percent" RnB track was the A side of this single. It's classic Diddley — a somewhat humorous update, if you will, on his great 1955 classic "I'm A Man." The flip is a more dance-friendly RnB swinger that's also worth keeping around. Note: This 45 is among those in the Neal collection that she may have actually played, and which spent some of their life outside a protective sleeve. As is usual for this category of the collection, the labels are Near Mint, with only very light outer-ring wear. The vinyl grades a strong EX, reflecting a few more light scuffs than you'd expect on a Near Mint surface. Fortunately, virtually none of those scuffs and micro-scratches affect the audio, which is extremely clear and undistorted with only a very occasional moment when you're reminded that you're listening to a needle passing through grooves that are (as of 2015) 50 years old. :-) The audio grades a strong Near Mint.
