Though this followup to their debut U.S. hit, "House of the Rising Sun," was far less successful on the charts, this 45 is one of their best, with two great uptempo tracks, both of which received airplay and registered on the Billboard chart. Whereas the A side features their Rockin' RnB side, the flip sports a terrific, proto-Garage Rock sound. In England, "Baby Let Me Take You Home" was actually the group's first chart single, with "Walker" on the B side. On this U.S. 45, "Walker" charted first and higher, and ultimately came to be viewed as the A side. (Nerd alert: The matrix numbers are non sequential and have no relation to A/B side order.) Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage MGM Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and, despite some notable scuffing on the vinyl, Near Mint audio.
