This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the

collection. This early Barry White single was recorded while he was A&R man for the Bronco/Mustang labels. It's easy to recognize the singer's voice, and delightful to hear it in the context of a mid-1960s Northern Soul arrangement! After this, White wouldn't release another single under his own name — concentrating instead on writing and producing other artists — until his return as a trend-setter in the Philly Soul/Disco sound of the mid-1970s with the big 1973 hit "I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More". This promo has the same song on both sides. Note: The labels grade Near Mint to reflect very light storage wear (a hint of ringwear on one side and slight fading of the white background). The vinyl (styrene), however, looks and sounds as new as the day it was slipped into Louise Neal's letter box as a promo back in 1967 (but in this case, never played because she had already left Reidsville, NC, for New York... never to return)!
