This was John's first #1 hit in the U.S. Note the unusual early MCA label. This great single features two of the best tracks from the then-forthcoming (and frankly somewhat disappointing) album, "Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player." It would be the last Elton single for quite awhile that didn't feature a non-album cut on the B side. Collector Nerd Alert: This is the first pressing that shows "Recorded in England" incorrectly.
