Terrific sequel to the group's classic "Tighten Up". The love ballad on the flip also got some airplay. Note: This beautiful promo copy comes in a vintage Atlantic Records factory sleeve. It is so close to perfect in all respects that we're grading it Mint across the board — Label, Vinyl (styrene in this case), Audio. (Note to newcomers: As noted in our grading guide, "Mint" does not mean "perfect." At least, not in the real world and not here. If you think Mint means perfect in grading records, you have been led astray by the sadly, proliferating "standard" grading guidelines from the collector magazine and publisher of price guides for records, Goldmine. For some reason, Goldmine changed the meaning of "Mint" to "absolutely perfect in every way", which logically makes use of "Mint" all but dishonest in grading records — after all, what record is "absolutely perfect in every way"? In other collectors worlds, such as Comic Books and Coins, "Mint" means "New, or like new." That's also what it means in the dictionary. Use of "Mint" to mean "New, like new" tacitly acknowledges that nothing is perfect, but that these 45s I'm grading Mint are brand new, have never been played (not including plays by Classic 45s) and have no obvious flaws (mispressings, scratches, off-center labels, etc.).)
