James Brown brings out the seriously Funky groove from Hank Ballard on this, his last chart record. The flip is an equally Funky treatment of one of Ballard's signature tunes from 1960. Note: This beatufiul copy comes in a vintage Polydor Records factory sleeve. The labels are basically Mint with a light touch of storage wear. The grooves preserve powerful, undistorted audio. The vinyl (styrene) and audio grades are for the A side only. Unfortunately, a notable scuff that covers the last half of the B side wax also causes an occasional "pop", though again the audio itself is gorgeous. But I would separately grade the vinyl and audio EX for the B side, so if that's the side you're particularly seeking to play in a club or on the radio, I'd look for another copy. But if you're here for the A side, the audio sounds Mint to me or very close to it (it's so percussive that I might have missed something...).
