Going To The River/ Mardi Gras In New Orleans

Here's a beautiful copy of one of Domino's biggest hits prior to coming to the attention of the Pop market. It was until 1955's "Ain't It A Shame" that Domino hit the Pop charts, but prior to that he had amassed 12 Top 10 hits in the RnB market. The B side of this single is Fats' version of Professor Longhair's classic ode to Mardi Gras. Note: This single is from a large collection we've purchased whose records typically have mint or near-mint audio and near-mint vinyl. The labels are near mint as well, but the owner had a habit of writing a date in small print on the B side label. In this case, the audio has some persistent surface noise that lowers its rating.
