Grow Some Funk Of Your Own/ I Feel Like A Bullet (In The Gun Of Robert Ford)

This is one of the rare Elton John singles that has two LP tracks--most of them featured a non-LP cut on the flip. By including two LP tracks, the single also managed to get airplay for both sides, which are polar opposites in mood. "Funk" is one of his hardest rockers, from his hardest-rocking LP, Rock of the Westies. The B side is a beautiful, 5 1/2-minute long ballad that ponders a love affair's breakup. (Robert Ford, incidentally, is the guy who shot and killed the famous outlaw Jesse James.) Note: This beautiful, Near Mint copy comes in a vintage MCA Records factory sleeve.
