From Memphis—the musical home of rock'n'roll, rockabilly, the blues, and more—comes a highly unlikely group of seven (plus friends), wholesome-looking "Magic Kids." The group's delightful debut single attempts to capture the magic of Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" as well as that of Brian Wilson's sunshine pop. And despite the obviously non-state-of-the-art production quality, they largely succeed! The single, on the small Goner label, is pressed with a large spindle hole.
