(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction/ The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man

Here's a nice copy of the single that sits at #6 on Dave Marsh's list of the 1,001 greatest 45s of the rock'n'soul era and at #2 on the Rolling Stone magazine list. Thanks to the misguided folks at Abkco, who own the rights to the Stones' catalog, no reissues have been available for many years, and it's difficult to find good originals like this one! This is one of a few Stones singles that credits "Nanker Phelge" as songwriter. "Nanker Phelge" was a pseudonym the band used as a way of sharing royalties among all band members instead of just Jagger & Richards. Note: This styrene pressing, though somewhat scuffed up, has nice clean audio; however, the audio isn't rated near-mint, because of a scratch that causes a periodically (lightly) audible "pop".
