Byrd was the founder and leader of James Brown's vocal group, The Famous Flames. The A side is a wonderful Funky Soul, pre-Funk number. Flip is a terrific deep soul number; on the strength of the B side alone, we give this single a 2-star recommendation — our highest! This release is on the old blue King label. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage King Records factory sleeve. The A side label has very light ringwear, but the B side label is flawless. The audio on both sides approaches Mint.
