Here's one of those rare cases where I think Dave Marsh missed a big one that should have been included in his list of the 1,001 greatest singles ever made. Fortunately, it did land on Rolling Stone magazine's Top 500 list. The sinuous beat and show-stopping vocals on this recording make me stop and pay attention every time! The single has a specially edited version of a 4:43 album cut. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Stax Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and Near Mint vinyl. The audio on this copy does have a touch of underlying surface noise, audible in spots.
