Ronstadt released this excellent version of Buddy Holly's classic in 1977, continuing a string of very successful pop singles based on covers of classic 1950's and 1960's tunes. It's interesting to note that Holly didn't actually have a chart hit with his original version. Note: This copy comes in a vintage Elektra/Asylum Records factory sleeve. The audio has some surface noise right at the beginning, reflecting some scuffs on the vinyl.
