Here's a case where playing a worn-looking record returns delicious rewards! Have a listen to the mp3 "snippet" of this early Eddie Cochran number and tell me if you think it sounds too good to come from weak VG-looking vinyl. I certainly think so, and I was delighted I didn't have to trash the single. :-) Note: This copy's A label has a star stamped on it as well as some ringwear; the B label is in much better shape. Although the vinyl looks quite scuffed up, the grooves preserve Near Mint audio, with no distortion and only subliminally audible light surface noise; same for the B side.
