Written by Mickey Newbury (misspelled on the label credit) and arranged with drippings of acid and other psychedlic experiences, this single introduced Kenny Rogers to the world and was credited just to 'The First Edition.' It's interesting that the B side doesn't feature Rogers as lead vocalist. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Reprise Records factory sleeve. The labels and vinyl (styrene) grade close to Mint, and the audio sounds pristine.
