Less Than Zero/ Radio Sweetheart

Here is a beautiful copy of Elvis Costello's very first single from the initial sessions produced by Nick Lowe (formerly the bassist for U.K. pub-rock band Brinsley Schwartz) and backed by the U.S. band Clover. The B side didn't appear on LP until the Taking Liberties compilation of B sides in 1980. This song was never released in the U.S., and this U.K. single has the usual small hole. Listening to it again you can see why Dave Marsh gives it the highest ranking of any of Costello's singles in his list of the 1001 greatest singles ever made.
