Let It Rain

Stereo/Mono promo copy. Sounding very Beatlesque, this was the first glimpse Clapton's adoring public had of the guy working outside of a rock group (you know, those little-known bands called Yardbirds, Cream, and Derek & the Dominoes). Amazingly enough, this great single failed to crack the top 40, although it did hang around the Hot 100 for 13 weeks. Clapton's first LP—called just Eric Clapton—was released in 1970, with "After Midnight" as its big hit. "Let It Rain" wasn't released as a single until 1972, in conjunction with the sort-of-greatest-hits package Polydor put out called At His Best. Note: This beautiful promo copy comes in a vintage Polydor Records factory sleeve. It grades very close to Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).
