Midnite Train To Georgia/ Will You Love Me Tomorrow

Of course, the reason no one played this original Soul version of "Midnight Train To Georgia" is because they knew Gladys Knight & the Pips were preparing a blockbuster version of their own... Yeah, right! But seriously, it was Cissy who got permission from writer Jim Weatherly to change the song's name from "Midnight Train To Houston", since she thought it would look odd given her own last name. This is a much more sensitive, personal reading than Gladys & the Pips would give it, and is more likely to bring you to tears than to cheers. By the way, this was a non-album single. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Janus Records factory sleeve. It has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).
