This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the

collection. This appears to be a very rare commodity, not acknowledged in price guides and rarely seen in online auctions — the actual promo release on Tru-Glo-Town, white label with black type. There are knockoffs of the white-label release, but they don't show "Not For Sale" on the labels. This copy is an actual 1966 pressing delivered to Louise Neal in North Carolina with an asterisk penned on the "I Wanta Know..." side, which I believe was the originally intended A side. "Boogaloo" is considered the A side purely on the strength of that raw guitar/bass line that underpins the rare Northern Soul dance number. The flip is a Deep Soul ballad ... also good, just not
as good! Note: This copy has Near Mint labels and vinyl (styrene), with very light storage wear. The audio would grade Mint (there's no distortion or surface noise), except that the grooves are very slightly mis-pressed, producing a very slight "wow", noticeable mainly on the B side. I've posted a snippet of "Boogaloo" so you can judge for yourself; I don't think the "wow" is noticeable on the A side. (The vinyl also has a very slight warp that doesn't affect play or audio.)
