My Bonnie/ The Saints (When The Saints Go Marching In)

This rare 1964 single was credited to the Beatles with Tony Sheridan. Sheridan was a kind of Elvis-soundalike who also sounded a little like Jerry Lee Lewis. Paired with the rockabilly instincts of the "real" early Beatles, and you've got a pretty great sound. Only, the material could use a little sprucing up. John... Paul... Can't you guys come up with something better than "My Bonnie"? Maybe it was playing dreck like this that made Paul and John sit down one night and start penning their own tunes... :-) Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage MGM Records factory sleeve. It has Near Mint labels and nearly pristine audio, despite a few scuffs on the vinyl.
