Originally released on King 5614. Following hot on the heels of the Mar-Keys' astonishing "Last Night" the year before, this recording was "instrumental" (sorry about that) in paving the way for the sound that became known as Funk. With its staccato syncopated beats and short sharp strokes, "Night Train" was a major stepping stone in 1960's Soul music. This is a beautiful copy of the Polydor reissue.
