This is a gorgeous, faithful cover of the Shadow Morton-produced Shangri-Las record of the previous decade. It's particularly well suited for Midler's voice, and she doesn't disappoint! One weird thing is the writer credits on this release. On the Shangri-Las original, the A side is credited solely to Harry Nilsson. Here, Nilsson's just one of three co-writers. Note: This copy comes in a vintage Atlantic Records factory sleeve.
