Curiously, Chancellor released this single with the heartfelt ballad "Disappointed" as the designated A side, and the irresistible dancer "Party Lights" the B. According to my research, the plug for "Disappointed" failed to attract interest, even in the beginning when Bilozoard gave 4 "stars" to "Party Lights" and only 3 to "Disappointed" in their "preview" of coming hits list in June 1962. By contrast, "Party Lights" was an inevitable and immediate hit, becoming a clear standout in the world of Girl Group Rock, B side designation or no. :-) Not for nothing does Dave Marsh grant hallowed spot #73 in his 1,001 list to "Party Lights!" This copy's label has language indicating distribution by Am-Par Records. Note: The A side label is Near Mint (see scan), but the B side has EX ringwear. The vinyl is just lightly scuffed in spots, and the audio is very close to Near Mint: On the A side, I think some light surface noise is occasionally audible, though it's hard to hear. On the B side, the surface noise is very light, but is occasionally audible, so its audio grade is also a strong EX.
