This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the collection. This is a pristine Mint copy of one of Courtney's rarest singles. The A side (identified with a black star printed by the title) is a lovely ballad with a great arrangement, co-written by Burt Bacharach. As is so often the case, it's the flip — a driving, Funky Soul dancer — that makes it especially appealing to Soul fans. (Genre nerd alert: Kev Roberts refers to the B side as "Northern Soul" rather than "Funky Soul." I suppose in some ways it's a blend of the two genres. :-) Note: This beautiful promo 45 has flawless labels and audio (both sides!) The Vinyl grade is Near Mint, because although the wax looks untouched, it's not completely flat (the subtle warp that results has no effect on playback).
