Answer song to Roger Miller's 'King of the Road.' Note: This copy comes in a vintage Capitol Records factory sleeve. Its labels are very nearly Mint with only a touch of outer-ringwear on the B label worthy of note. The vinyl has some light scuffing that at first gives it a Near Mint look, but in better light is noticeable enough to grade a strong EX. The audio is like the copy of "Jackson" I just put in: It starts out with enough surface noise to grade below Near Mint; in fact I'd grade it EX in the beginning, but by the end of the track the audio is pristine Mint. Overall, I'm sticking with a grade of strong EX (EX+). I would be interested in knowing what device settings (tonearm, stylus) that handled it would cause such a pattern of wear, which is opposite the usual, where the audio starts sounding Mint and then slowly degrades toward the end. In this case, the audio itself isn't degraded, but the quality of the experience is degraded by some persistent surface noise that itself slowly fades as the record spins. Hope you've got the picture! :-)
