This was the Carpenters' second Christmas single... one you don't see very often anymore. Their version of the "Santa Claus" classic is a surprise take, but very much a Carpenters recording. "Merry Christmas Darling" was first released in 1970, when it was a big hit. There were two different picture sleeves released for this 1974 45 record, and this is the "Juke-Box Special" sleeve, which has cool art on the back side as well. Note: The 45 itself has Mint labels and pristine sound. The picture sleeve is Near Mint with a touch of top-edge wear.
