Sixteen Tons/ You Don't Have To Be A Baby To Cry

Here's a beautiful copy of this classic single from the dawn of the Rock 'n' Roll era. Ford is a country artist, sure, but he also pioneered the boogie beat in that market, and "Sixteen Tons" is a working man's blues, just like that of many of the rockabilly youngsters who followed in its wake. The flip is another terrific performance and great song. Note: This copy comes with a vintage Capitol Records factory sleeve.
