From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed Stereo/Mono promo copy, in its original factory sleeve. As it turns out, this is a very rare copy of Huey Lewis & band's very first single. The group had previously worked under the name American Express (until the card company complained), and as Clover. Honestly, this is one of the best singles the band ever released, and certainly better than the somewhat-formulaic later singles that clogged the airwaves in the late 1980's. They had one other single from their first LP, but it wasn't until 1982 that the group got noticed by radio programmers, when their second album yielded the smash hit, "Do You Believe In Love." At this early stage, the group sounds very much like the fast-paced British New Wave, Power Pop acts that had been streaming over to the U.S. in the late 1970's.
